The things that were said not to be mentioned were mentioned in the movie. I just saw it and I have no clue what you are talking about. Art ownership is kinda the whole idea/ basis of the movie…
Also, what's with the bashing of Amy Adams' career?
i really like this movie!! although there were some underdeveloped characters but as someone who loves art i think it's a good movie
I really loved the review, I was just hoping you were going to comment on the two songs Lana Del Rey wrote and sang for this movie, because the song 'Big Eyes' is nominated for a Golden Globe.
Watched this today and really appreciated it. Beautiful soundtrack by Lana Del Rey. Very honest review and spot on
good review big eyes
I was really confused about Cristoph Waltz's performance he didn't seem believable as a real human being in the movie which was really weird he constantly had this shit-faced grin on his face and was making a fool out of himself which seemed really the opposite of the smart guy that was business savvy enough to build an empire.
Do you personally think that Amy Adams has been robbed from all of her possible Oscars? I personally feel that she was robbed for her roles in Doubt and American Hustle, especially Doubt.
Wow! That's quite an observation grace
A great review Grace, I have had not much time to see your videos as much as I used to lately, it was nice to hear your thoughts on this film.
I love Amy Adams. I've loved Amy Adams since her debut in "Drop Dead Gorgeous" but she was never what Jennifer Lawrence is now, not even 10 years ago.
Hey Grace! I was just wondering, out of the three Golden Globes nominations that this movie received, which of the three did you think that this movie really did deserve?
you seem to mention alot mad man, would you recomended?
Ed Wood in my opinion is classic Burton, it's a love letter to that classic (so awful it's good) B-Movie director, he and Depp should get together and do a satire or a slow comedy.
I'll probably just watch this on DVD. I hope your review of Into the Woods will be up soon.
I've pretty much had enough of Waltz cartoony villians, but I thought the movie was okay.
who else thought this was about Grace reviewing herself?
This looks boring and I can't even bring myself to finish watching this review
This is a white movie I want to see….possibly on DVD.
i dont think margaret keane really had much to do with the writing and the way walter is described by you and probably in the movie, ive read a short autobiograpy she made once and she never called him any names or anything really mean, she forgave him with time but she said she never felt like a victim, which is what your review makes it seem like she was idk id have to see it
everybody is always complaining that leo doesn't have an oscar, you know who has more acting nominations than him? amy adams, this will probably be her 6th, hope she finally wins 😀
When will you be doing the into the woods movie review. Thanks love your reviews so much!
Ironic that you reviewed Big Eyes with, what, two pounds of mascara on … was that intended, like a joke? The effect was to give you lips like Bob Hope … !
Waltz has already been niched, in this self aware age, as The Bad Guy. He can either accept that fate, explore it, or produce something completely different. You're correct about Adams, unfortunately. I'm hoping both Burton and she can hopscotch this quagmire they're in.
i like tim burton as a director and this movie is a departure from his usual style. i liked the trailers and the story sounds so fascinating because its a true story, plus the cast is stunning in academy level actors amy adams and christoph waltz, they are guarantee this movie should be great but its obvious waltz is the weaker link because his performance is over the top at times and his accent fades. i hear amy adams might get a sixth oscar nomination, hopefully she will…
Amy Adams is in no need of a hit since she already had one last year, American Hustle. That film grossed 250 million with a budget of 40 million. Plus she got an oscar nomination for best actress. And she had man of steel and has its upcomming sequel. Adams is pretty successful right now to be honest.
Wont you review the interview ?
Hey Grace where is your into the woods review
Have you seen Into The Woods yet?
Grace when are you going to review Into The Woods? 🙂
Grace, good review! Also I am really hoping to see you review the interview to get your reaction. 🙂
Definitely agree on this one Grace, it's not that Big Eyes is a bad movie (it is not, I enjoyed it) but the filmmakers took no risks with telling the story and it resulted in a pretty bland final product. And yes, Christoph Waltz is awful.
